Privacy Policy
Short version: Palettarium has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no servers. We don't collect your data. Everything you make stays on your device, or in your own iCloud if you turn on sync.
What we collect
Nothing. Palettarium doesn't send any information about you or how you use the app to us or to anyone else. There are no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools in the app.
What stays on your device
- Your palettes and settings are saved on your iPhone so they're there next time you open the app.
- Photos. When you pick a photo to pull colors from, the app reads it on your device to find the colors. The photo isn't saved by the app and never leaves your device.
- Location. If you allow it, the app reads your approximate location once, rounds it to about 10 km, and uses it to draw the real stars above you. It's kept in memory only while the app is open. It's never saved or sent anywhere. If you decline, the app shows a default sky.
- Palette suggestions from a description. On supported devices, the text you type is processed by Apple's on-device language model. It doesn't leave your device.
Services provided by Apple
- iCloud Sync (optional, Palettarium Pro). Off by default. If you turn it on, your palette library is stored in your own iCloud account so it appears on your other devices. We can't see it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Purchases and tips are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, email or payment details.
- Sharing. When you export a palette, the iOS share sheet sends it where you choose. What happens after that is governed by the app or person you share with.
Your choices and deleting your data
- Delete any palette inside the app at any time.
- Deleting Palettarium from your iPhone removes everything it stored on the device.
- Turn off iCloud Sync in the app's Settings. To remove synced data, go to iOS Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.
- Turn location or photo access on or off any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security.
Because we hold no data about you, there's nothing for us to delete or hand over on request. If you have a question anyway, write to us.
Children
Palettarium collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. If the app ever starts collecting data, this page will say so before that version ships.
